Timing Belts

Hello everybody, I am about to change my timing belts, a task I have never attempted before myself. Does the crankshaft pully need to be removed? If so, how have you locked the flywheel? Are there any tips or advice on this job that you can offer me before I start? Regards to you all. Paul
