Its Ok I'm here; been a bad two weeks; dog died; and later I had to go to the funeral of Edward Meynell - died early May in Spain, aged just 34 of Scleroderma; awful disease. Sue sends her regards to all Consortium Members. The Intermittent wash wipe ISN'T always in the same place! Its usually there or thereabouts, but I have rarely found one in the same place twice. As Ian says its an oblong metal box, about 3 x 2 x 1 inches; on the underside there are a couple of discrete components, I think a resistor which is invariably pink. Its held on by two phillips screws (sometimes one as the Italian workers' hands might not have reached!) at each end. It is usually fitted on the underside of the steering column support bracket; but I have seen them screwed to just about anywhere on this bracket. The wash-wipe relay has a short black lead which ends in a male connector plug and this of course fits into a block from the loom. The lead from the relay is very short, barely 6 inches so the options are limited - in fact I've found there is only ONE block that even looks capable of reaching. If it isn't evident, then it might not be there. Tonight I'll have a look at one of these blocks and if necessary cut it off (its OK the car's a total write off) so you can see what colour wires feed the block. Sometimes the blocks are trapped underneath the dash, they get tangled up and don't drop...
