Well, my Gamma was in the garage last week getting its MOT and having a few things done, but of course the fault that started this thread was conspicuous by its absence. The mechanic who looks after the car for me offered to put a relay on it, but we've left it for the time being. Incidentally, his inclination was to doubt the ignition switch, but if that is the case i don't understand why it doesn't happen more often and (more particularly) regardless of whether the car is hot or cold - on the two occasions it has caught me like this it has been after very hot slow grinds home through London traffic. For the time being I'll take both sets of keys with me and just lock it without turning it off while I'm opening up the garage.
