Sorry not to have posted back sooner, but here's an update. I took the car down to TNI yesterday to meet John Day and have a chat about what was wrong and how to go about investigating and sorting it. John had clearly been in the business a good long while and evidently knew what he was talking about, so I decided to leave the car with him there and then. He's going to start by taking the heads off and seeing what sort of state the gaskets are in and whether it is a simple head gasket failure or something more serious, i.e. the sunken liner problem. As Ian said, it is important to identify good engineers who are able (and willing!) to work on Gammas. I'm fully expectant of having good things to say about Mr Day's work on my car and I'll try to remember to update this thread as a sort of blog as work progresses. P.
