Thanks for the suggestion - I will definitely have a look at this. The problem is getting worse. At the weekend I barely got 2 miles from the house and the car stopped so not even up to normal temperature this time. With the car not doing much mileage it's quite possible the tank is sludgy. Also I've been using unleaded additives recently and I wonder if these separate and coagulate if they stay in the tank for a long time?
