Just a quick note to add to the thermostat discussion. I've been running my Gamma without a Thermostat for a few hundred miles and it seems to have behaved fine. After 5 mins the needle moves to sit at about 2 nothches above the starting point on the temp scale i.e. about 1/3 of the arc towards the ideal midway point so equivqlent to ~140F. When static for about 5-10 minutes it will climb up to midway on the temp scale and then returns to ~140F when cruising at 70mph on the motorway. After each run I let the engine temp climb to 190F and then I switch off. Comments please...
