Hi Gamma Folk I am thinking of buying a 2 litre Gamma coupe I live in Adelaide South Australia and the car is in Queensland I do not know much about Gammas have only had Lambda ,Flaminia coupe and Fulvia 2c up to now. The car has lightly tinted windscreen this may be a problem to register in S.A. did they ever come with just a clear screen and is the 2 litre a good car the present owner has had other Lancia cars like myself but his health is not good and he wants the car to go to a good home before he dies or it may go to the dump when he goes it is in very good condition white with pale blue trim has done about 130,000kms and knowing the owner for about 30 years it would have been well looked after. He tells me he has not had any problems with it except the power steering pump which has been shifted from the cam belt and is now driven from a separate pulley this has caused him to not fit the fan which he says where he lives does not cause any problems but where I live we regularly get up to 40-42 deg. in summer this could be a big problem for me are there any other alternatives for the pump? the pump he is using is not off a Gamma but some other vehicle he has mounted it in a way that does not allow the fitting of the fan i understand that cooling can be a big problem Gamma cars are very thin on the ground in Australia the Australian register only has 6 owners listed and the only other one I have seen in S.A. was a sedan and I have not seen it for many years Any help and advice about these cars would be greatly appreciated Cheers for now keep it shiny side up and rubber side down Denis
