Hi Gamma owners I have been in contact with the Gamma owner in Queensland again and some more info has come to light the car is a carburettor model ( his words were good reliable carby ) and his conversion of the power steering means the pump is about where the original fan was he says the air conditioning doesn't work very well and I suggested that was probably because the fan was not there but he reckons the air cond. has it's own fan??? it looks like we will do a deal sometime soon as he is looking at the transport problem of getting it from Qld to S.A.. and he is keen to see it go to someone who will look after it rather than it go to the wreckers when he dies which apparently may be not too far off he says, and he has known me and my interest in Lancia cars for about 30 years we both had Fulvia 2c that is how I met him in the first place he lived in Sale in Victoria in those days and he is obviously getting very frail and says his health has deteriated markedly I saw him about October last year but he sounds much worse now Does anybody know how much room is available out front of the radiator when air cond. is fitted ie. is there room for any small fans another suggestion of his was to go back to the original power steering pump but change the belt more often next question is what is the availability of this belt does somebody like Gates etc. supply after market ones what do other owners think of this suggestion? I thought the problem with the original system was the belt jumping the teeth when the car was put on full lock ( too much strain on the pump?? ) As far as where it came from and how it got to be in Aust is anybodies guess as he only knows the history of his ownership Assuming that I become the new owner would I be able to join your consortium for future supply of parts and knowledge please Cheers for now Lancias forever Denis
