Far from it I am afraid! The Gamma is locked away and I am in Cyprus at the moment. Trying to get as far away from it as possible! Seriously though, I spent last weekend investigating and trying to determine which gasket has failed. I thought it would be easy since the car was running on 3 cylinders. I assumed that was due to water getting in the cylinder but I am not sure now. I easily found which cylinder was not firing by pulling off the HT leads in turn. Then I thought I'd confirm with a compression test. I got just under 9 bar on that cylinder so decided to check the one next to it which came to at just over 10 bar. So I checked the other side and got nearly 12 bar. Nearly 3 bar difference in compression is obviously a sign of something wrong but I expected even lower compression on the cylinder with the head gasket leak. I think there may be additional problems to the head gasket failure. I'll be back in the UK by the end of next week so I may continue my resuscitation attempts then.
