The Scala was offered for sale on eBay in May 2006 and the bidding reached £5,300 but the reserve was not met. It's very difficult to value this car. If it was any other Pininfarina prototype it would be worth tens of thousands of pounds. Unfortunately Gammas are so unloved by the general public that even this one-off version doesn't seem to be easy to sell. I was very tempted when it was for sale in Manchester a few years ago and kept an eager watch on its falling sale price but I eventually decided that while I would love to have the Scala and I would love and cherish it for years, I am the wrong person to have it as I would use it as an every day car and drive it to the office and even to Sainsburys for the weekly shopping! The Scala belongs in a museum but unfortunately even Pininfarina didn't want to keep it in their museum. Maybe the Consortium can try and find it a home in a museum? That way we can all go and visit it when we like but I doubt that any museum would be able and willing to pay the asking price. According to Jack the Scala was in North London very close to me (Green Dragon Lane?) Is that still the case?
