Hello every one,
I bought a Lancia Gamma Coupe 2000cc last year at a fair price since the engine was blocked. However the time has come to start my project and bring it back to life. Two days ago I got out the engine from the engine compartment and I started disassembling the engine and find out eventually was has been the damage.
By removing the heads a found out that a valve has been broken obviously by jumping teeth the cam belt timing. As a result the broken valve caused a damage on the piston by making a hole and at the cylinder sleeve which has got two cracks.
I would appreciate it any member could advise me where I could find a cylinder sleeve and a piston to replace them.
Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

A while ago, we were contacted about a Gamma Coupe being available for  spare parts. On visiting to see the car, we found a pile of rusty bits  on a pallet that was vagualy recognisable as the remnants of a Gamma but  certainly didn't look like a car. It's a shame that a car was left to  get to that stage but a Gamma in any condition can always yield good  parts. Having transported the car-on-a-pallet to a member's premises, a few of us got together recently to see what we could salvage  from the ex-Gamma pile on a pallet and a lot of useful parts were saved.  It's the little things that are usually needed especially after a long  restoration and we certainly saved parts as door lock pushes, switches  etc. But the pile also gave us a brand-new looking nearside camshaft and  followers as well as a number of cables which if nothing else will be  good samples for getting replacements made. All in all a pleasant and  fruitful day.

Hi - recently bought a Gamma Coupe freshly imported from South Africa on the Car and Classic website. It was the Ivory one advertised early this year. I have done the ‘classic’ thing and bought my dream car on my retirement but realise classic car ownership is not plain sailing and so as storage promised has not materialised and what I need to do to get it as I want it - it is now for sale.  It is now registered in the UK and had a test on it in the Spring. The bodywork is great and it looks stunning in it’s original ivory colour. inspection on a ramp shows it is just as good underneath. It is a rare auto with air con. A recent test shows both work as expected. The engine pulls well but for me the engine is noisy (one cam). It steers accurately and pulls up straight.  Happy to send original ad. and current photos. Also of course happy to answer questions on 07972 830244. The car is situated in the Peak District near

Yes, the rear roof vents were painted matt black on the Gamma coupe. I remember this subject being discussed before so I've looked at the photos from the old forum but couldn't see any close up photos. The photos below are the best I could do. No point in taking photos from my car as I didn't bother painting mine matt black. Have a look at the old forum photos yourself and you might spot something I missed http://www.lanciagammaconsortium.info/OldAttachmentsGallery/index.html

As dor the sills, wing lower qtrs and front/ and ear valances, they were definately black from the factory and I believe it was paint and not stoneguard. It's a design feature designed to "lift" the car and make it look sleeker.

Hi to everyone my gamma has just been painted so looking at finishing touches and remember talking to someone and it was brought to my attention that the rear roof vents are coloured black not body colour these are the 3 vents between the rear screen top and roof  does any one have a close up picture of this so i copy so i can mask the correct area before painting, also did the sills wing lower qtrs front/rear valance have stone guard on them from new? or are they just painted black.
thanks
