Title: Gamma Consortium 2022 AGM and Rally Post by: Theo on December 23, 2022, 12:48:13 am Our 2022 Annual Rally and AGM weekend took place over the extended weekend of 23rd to 25th September. In fact the weekend was extended even more for some of us as we not only had Masataka and Toyoko visiting from Japan but also our newest Japanese member Kenzi and our activities were extended to coincide with their arrival and departure flights from Japan.
Charles and Jennie, our organisers, decided we should visit Kent, the Garden of England. It’s a place where we haven’t had Consortium meetings in the past and is relatively easy for our Continental members to join us as it’s a short drive from Dover or Folkestone. So as well as our Japanese members, we had visitors from Germany, France and The Netherlands. We were based at the Dog and Bear hotel in Lenham and from there we visited Bodiam Castle, the Cranbrook Windmill, Tenterden and the Bredgar and Workhill light Railway. And of course we had our Club's AGM meeting on the Saturday evening before dinner. It was another very successful weekend meeting with a total of six Gammas in attendance and several other cars including a Kappa coupe, the Gamma's spiritual successor. And possibly for the first time, with three of each, we had an equal number of Berlinas and Coupes. |
