Rear shock absorbers Coupe

I´m Rafael from Spain

I´m friend of Sergio Romagosa, and club member of Club Lancia of Spain

I´ve a 1982 Gamma Coupé 2500IE

I´m looking for rear shock absorbers for long time , but it´s very dificult

I´ve talked with my mechanic and He said that it could be repared changing the shock absorber cartridge, but it´s being very dificult to get it out

Any comment for help?

There are inserts by Monroe and KYB available that will fit the Gamma struts assuming the strut casing is OK. It may be that your struts already have inserts but even if they don't, you need to remove the retaining nut/collar. To do that you either need to make a tool out of a pipe that will fit the collar slots, or use a cold chisel and large hammer and a lot of strength to remove the top nut/collar.
