Hi to everyone i  after nearly a year of bodywork and mechanical overhaul i am almost ready for a full body repaint but just this week end i met another club member who had a series one coupe and i noticed that at the top of the rear windscreen just below the roof and the width of the car it was painted satin black and not body colour this is just under the roof above the glass do you know if this was the same on series 2 cars
thanks

The area is hiding the air exit vents (from C pillar)
I would assume they were all black to hide vents.

Yes, I'm sure that's correct because mine isn't (having been sprayed at some time) and was commented on at a Consortium meeting recently!

Yes that part above the rear screen should be matt black. Most cars once resprayed (including mine) end up with it body coloured. Most people when spraying them black go for satin black but should really be matt black.
